eyeM

A Dedicated Professional Communication Environment

eyeM is the planned communication layer of the OASiS ecosystem — a professional space designed specifically for anterior segment optometry.

In Development

More Than a Chat Feature

eyeM is not a general-purpose messaging application. It is a dedicated professional communication environment designed for the specific needs of anterior segment clinicians — a space where clinical discussions, faculty channels, journal clubs, case presentations, and Society announcements can occur within a single, professionally governed platform.

The long-term vision for eyeM is to become the communication infrastructure of the OASiS ecosystem — connecting members, faculty, students, residents, and the Society itself in a way that serves clinical learning and professional community.

Why eyeM Matters

Professional Context

General social media platforms were not designed for clinical professional communication. eyeM is being built specifically for the anterior segment community — with the governance, editorial standards, and professional culture that clinical communication requires.

Ecosystem Integration

eyeM is intended to connect to the broader OASiS ecosystem as it develops — potentially linking future clinical discussions to Atlas images, publications, courses, and faculty information. It is being designed as a component of a coherent professional knowledge system, not a standalone application.

Editorial Independence

Sponsored communications within eyeM will always be clearly identified and separately controllable. Members will have full control over which communications they receive. Industry access to the platform will never compromise the clinical and editorial independence of the Society.

eyeM Is Being Built

eyeM requires dedicated communication infrastructure that is currently in development. The public-facing page, authenticated navigation position, and integration architecture are being established now. A future dedicated messaging service will power the platform. OASiS will not launch eyeM until it can be delivered at the standard the profession deserves.
