Clinical Depth
The anterior segment is one of the most complex and rapidly advancing areas in optometry. OASiS provides the intellectual framework to understand it as a whole — not as isolated disease categories.
Students & Residents
Professional school prepares you to begin. Lifelong learning determines how far you go.
Professional schools accomplish something extraordinary. They provide the scientific foundation, clinical reasoning, ethics, and supervised experience necessary to begin professional practice. No professional curriculum can teach everything a clinician will need across an entire career. Nor is that the purpose of professional education. The deeper purpose is to prepare graduates to continue learning, adapting, and growing independently. Graduation is not the end of professional learning. It is the beginning of independent professional development.
OASiS exists to support the journey from foundation to mastery. The Society is not a replacement for professional education — it is the next chapter.

On the horizon
The anterior segment is one of the most complex and rapidly advancing areas in optometry. OASiS provides the intellectual framework to understand it as a whole — not as isolated disease categories.
Connect with clinicians, educators, faculty, and researchers who share your clinical interests. The OASiS community is being built now — and founding members shape its culture.
The clinicians who invest in their professional development early build the deepest expertise. OASiS is where that investment begins.
OASiS deeply respects the work of optometric educators. Faculty members who guide students and residents through their clinical training are among the most important contributors to the profession's future. OASiS is designed to complement that work — to provide a professional home where the clinicians you train can continue their development throughout their careers. We welcome faculty participation, mentorship, and leadership within the Society.
